MARIO is a ROM hack of Super Mario World and a companion piece to the creepypasta (https://creepypasta.fandom.com/wiki/MARIO) with the same name. It was created to somewhat mirror what happens in the story itself as it is the titular ROM hack that is being played there. It follows classic video game creepypasta tropes, being a game that came from out of nowhere, has unsettling visuals, and may possibly have something sapient living it it.

thegugafá (https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/thegugafá) and Asumeh (https://tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/Asumeh) here show that they don't have the time to be scared of anything in MARIO and finish the romhack 1.617 seconds faster than the previous run ( https://tasvideos.org/6913M ).
